Kris Mangroo
Photographer
Dutch photographer Kris Mangroo, based in the city of Amsterdam, started his career at the Academy of Art and Design St. Joost in the Netherlands, where he was trained as a documentary photographer. Upon completing internships at the prestigious firms Kadir van Lohuizen in Amsterdam and Dana Lixenberg in New York, his horizon expanded beyond documentary photography alone. “Recording an image is only part of what I do. It’s about sharing a story with images that evoke emotions and create a special experience. My profession therefore requires being an artist as much as being a photographer.”
